Key verse

"Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever." Psalm 119:160

What if...?

What if your next breath...never came?

Would you go to Heaven or Hell?

Yes!
You will go to one of those two places.
How good or bad a life you've lived doesn't have anything to do with where you go when you die. Your eternal destination is determined by what you do with Christ.

Perhaps you think you haven't yet made a decision regarding Him,
but you have.
If you have not trusted in Christ you have rejected Him and are currently separated from God by your sin and destined for Hell. Every day people slip into the fiery darkness of Hell with no warning.

You may be thinking to yourself,
"Wait! I am really not that bad a person!"
I'm sure God is not going to let me go to Hell for messing up now and then. It's not like I've killed anybody!
After all nobody's perfect, I just need to _______ more.
(You fill in the blank with what you try to appease God with.)
Doubtless, millions in Hell used to think the same thing.
I say "used to" because no one in Hell is pleading their innocence or demanding a re-trial. They have each been held up to a righteous
standard and failed to measure up.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
                                                                                   Romans 3:23
God isn't a corrupt judge that can be bought off. He is righteous and holy and He makes the rules that Heaven, Hell, and this universe are governed by
because He created all things.

 "All things were made by him;
and without him was not any thing made
 that was made." John 1:3

When God made this universe, it was perfect...
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day." Genesis 1:31

...but it didn't stay that way. Man used the freedom of choice God gave him to rebel against his Maker and break the one rule in that perfect world. The consequences were tragic.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"    Romans 5:12

This sin nature was passed on to you, and as a sinner you have earned death. Not just physical death but spiritual death as well--for you are born separated from God your Creator and headed for an eternity of destruction. "For the wages of sin is death;..."Romans 6:23a

But praise God, that does not have to be the end; for God is not only holy and righteous, but loving and merciful as well. Jesus Christ, God the Son, paid the price for you to be given the gift of eternal life and a home in Heaven when you breathe your last. "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."Romans 6:23b

Christ can give us eternal because He took the punishment we deserved upon Himself by dying for our sins and coming back to life.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"...How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4

You are offered this free gift that will save you from sin's punishment, but you must put your faith in Christ. That means, trusting that He has done all that is necessary to forgive your sins and save you. If you are trusting in anything you, someone, or anything else can do for forgiveness, you have not put your faith in Christ as God says you must, in order to receive His free gift.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

If you are reading this, the good news is you are still breathing and it is not too late to put your faith in Christ right now and be sure of your home in Heaven.
"...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,..." Acts 16:31b

Your breath is in your Creator's hand.
Where will you go once He gives you the last one?
